About Our Founder
As a Director of Human Resources for organizations such as Woodward and Hach (formerly a Danaher company), Amy has led and coached on strategy while simultaneously contributing as the ever-critical pair of hands, at the ground level.
Amy started her professional journey in non-profit career counseling before gravitating toward human resources in engineering and manufacturing. Over the course of 14 years, she developed process improvement interest and experience while working alongside seasoned Master practitioners.
In 2024, Amy established Player-Coach HR in response to a demand for expertise, from small- to medium-sized organizations, that lacked the combined HR resources capable of acting as a coach while also ‘playing’ on the field. In addition to manufacturers, Player-Coach HR is sought out by independent schools and wellness professionals, supporting the business of non-profits alike.
With strengths in carefully communicating the heart of the matter, synthesizing factual data, and leveraging nuanced instinct based on experience, Amy excels in leading Player-Coach HR’s impact on clients.
